Hadi Salman

I am a researcher at OpenAI working on LLMs. I recently got my PhD in Computer Science from MIT where I was advised by Aleksander Madry. My research has been on developing the foundations of robust and reliable machine learning systems in order to ensure their safe and responsible deployment in the real world.

Prior to MIT, I spent a couple of amazing years at Microsoft Research as an AI resident then as a research engineer where I worked on robustness in deep learning. Before joining Microsoft, I was an intern at Uber ATG working on uncertainty modeling for autonomous driving.

I also hold a Masters in Robotics from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University where I was advised by Howie Choset and Matthew Travers. And before that, I got a BS in Mathematics and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
